The Armstrong A+ Performance Mast is a full-carbon foil mast built around Armstrong's proprietary A+ system, which standardizes the connection between mast, fuselage, front wing, and stabilizer across the brand's lineup. Developed in collaboration with America's Cup foil engineers and refined through extensive prototyping, the mast uses premium Toray carbon fiber in a dual-modulus layup. High-modulus carbon stiffens the thin central strut section to minimize flex under load, while intermediate-modulus carbon handles the more complex shapes of the top plate and fuselage junction, where higher tensile strength is needed.
