Overview

The 2026 Cabrinha Union Stabilizer is a high-aspect-ratio rear wing built for the Cabrinha Union foil system. Cabrinha developed the Union platform in collaboration with Mikeslab, licensing the Mikeslab connection system to improve stiffness and hydrodynamic efficiency across the entire assembly. The stabilizer is offered in three sizes — 160, 180, and 200 — each constructed using full prepreg carbon in a single monocoque build. This one-piece construction reduces junction points and aims to minimize drag through the water. The package ships with a protective cover and M8x20mm mounting hardware.

Who It's For

The Union Stabilizer suits riders across wing foiling, prone foiling, surf foiling, and downwind disciplines who are building or customizing a Union-system setup. Each size targets a different balance of maneuverability and stability. The 160 provides a looser, more playful feel suited to riders who prioritize tight turns and responsive handling — a natural match for smaller front wings in punchy surf conditions. The 180 sits in the middle as a versatile all-around option, pairing well with mid-range front wings like the Cabrinha Union Prestige 905 for everyday freeride sessions. The 200 delivers the most stability and control, making it a logical choice for lighter winds, larger front wings, or riders still developing their foil balance.

Intermediate to advanced foilers will get the most from the high-aspect-ratio design, which emphasizes glide efficiency over low-speed forgiveness. Riders earlier in their progression may prefer the 200 for added rear-foot support, while experienced pilots chasing speed and pump efficiency can size down to the 160.

In the Lineup

The Union system represents a ground-up replacement for Cabrinha's earlier Fusion foil platform. Where the Fusion used a traditional bolt-together assembly, the Union introduces a licensed Mikeslab connection and monocoque component construction across the range. The stabilizer pairs with Union front wings — the glide-oriented Prestige, the speed-focused Whippit, and the surf-tuned Rebound — along with Union masts available in alloy and carbon options.

Within the broader market, the Union Stabilizer competes against other high-aspect carbon rear wings from brands operating in the modular foil space. Its aspect ratios in the 8.4–8.6 range place it firmly in the performance tier, prioritizing low drag over the wider, more forgiving tails found on entry-level foil packages. Riders already invested in the Union system can swap between the three sizes to fine-tune their setup for different conditions without changing the rest of their assembly.
