Overview
The Cabrinha Union Carbon Complete Foil is a full hydrofoil package built around Cabrinha's 2026 Union platform — a ground-up redesign that replaces the older Fusion system. Each complete foil ships with a Prestige high-aspect front wing, a Union stabilizer, and the 16mm carbon mast, giving buyers a ready-to-ride setup in one box. The Union platform uses a monobloc construction approach where the front and rear wing halves each form one side of the fuselage, locked together with a single angled screw. Cabrinha licensed the connection geometry from Mike's Lab and scaled it up with M8 bolts for added stiffness under load, though the two systems are not cross-compatible.
The complete foil is offered in eighteen configurations spanning three Prestige front wing sizes (760, 905, and 1150 cm²), three stabilizer sizes (160, 180, and 200 cm²), and two mast lengths (78 cm and 84 cm). This modularity lets riders tune lift, speed, and stability for different conditions without leaving the Union ecosystem.

Who It's For
This package targets intermediate-to-advanced foilers who have moved past learning-phase gear and want a high-aspect setup that rewards technique with speed, glide, and range. The Prestige front wings carry a thicker profile near the center for lift that tapers toward the tips for speed, with upward twist at the tips to keep carving turns smooth and reduce the chance of wingtip breach. Riders who prioritize pump efficiency and long glide stretches — particularly on downwinders or in marginal wind — will get the most from the 905 and 1150 options, while the 760 suits those chasing tighter, faster turns in stronger conditions.
The 78 cm mast works well in shallow water and for riders who prefer a lower ride height, while the 84 cm mast adds clearance for open-water sessions and high-speed runs where extra separation from the surface matters.
In the Lineup
Within Cabrinha's own 2026 range, the Union Carbon sits between the entry-level Union Alloy Complete (which pairs the same wing options with an aluminum mast at a lower price point) and the premium Union Carbon Apex Complete (which upgrades to a thinner 14mm ultra-high-modulus mast for maximum stiffness at minimum weight). Riders stepping up from the Alloy package get a meaningful reduction in mast flex and swing weight by moving to the 16mm carbon mast, while the Apex adds a further tier of refinement for those willing to pay the premium.
Cabrinha also offers a backward-compatibility adapter that allows riders with existing Fusion aluminum masts to mount Union wings, easing the transition for those upgrading piece by piece. Across the broader market, the Union Carbon competes with other high-aspect carbon foil packages in the mid-to-upper price tier, such as the Armstrong A+ system and the Axis range, though direct cross-compatibility between brands does not exist.
