Overview

The CORE 2.0 Kite Pump is a dual-action hand pump from Core Kiteboarding, designed for inflating kites and wing foiling wings on the beach. It represents a ground-up redesign over Core's original pump, with a longer barrel, wider hose diameter, and reduced internal friction intended to make inflation quicker and less tiring. The pump ships with a hose, carrying bag, and is available in two barrel lengths — a 20-inch (L) and a 24-inch (XL) — to suit different rider heights and preferences.

Core engineered the 2.0 around a few practical upgrades. The piston uses low-friction coatings and seals to cut resistance on each stroke, while the enlarged hose outlet increases airflow so fewer strokes are needed per session. A built-in foam air-inlet filter — referred to as the Sand Guard — keeps sand and grit from being pumped into kite bladders, a common cause of slow leaks. A switchable knob lets riders toggle between double-stroke mode for fast bulk inflation and single-stroke mode for topping off pressure at the end. A color-coded digital pressure gauge on the barrel provides a quick visual reference for target PSI.

Who It's For

The CORE 2.0 Kite Pump suits any kiteboarder or wing foiler who inflates gear at the beach. The L size works well for average-height riders or anyone who values a more compact pump for travel, while the XL is better matched to taller riders or those who prefer a more upright pumping stance and greater air volume per stroke. Both sizes handle the full inflation cycle — bulk fill through final top-off — without needing a separate high-pressure adapter.

Because the pump is brand-agnostic in function (standard hose fitting), it works across most major kite and wing brands. Riders who session frequently or travel to sandy destinations will get particular value from the Sand Guard filter and the low-friction internals, which help the pump maintain smooth operation over time.

In the Lineup

The Pump 2.0 replaced Core's original kite pump and has remained in the lineup for several seasons. Within Core's accessory catalog it sits alongside repair kits, board bags, and harnesses as a standard beach-session essential rather than a premium or limited item. Priced in the mid-sixty to low-seventy dollar range depending on size, it falls in line with comparable dual-action kite pumps from other brands such as the Duotone Kite Pump and the Ozone Kite Pump, both of which offer similar dual-stroke mechanisms and pressure gauges. The XL size's 2.9-liter stroke volume is on the higher end for hand pumps in this category, making it a practical choice for riders who want to minimize total strokes when inflating larger kites or wings.
