Overview

The Delta M-Frame Fuselages are prepreg carbon fiber fuselage components designed for Delta Hydrofoils' modular M-Frame system. Available in two lengths — the Standard 610 (610 mm) and the Longfuse 770 (770 mm) — they serve as the central structural link between wing, stabilizer, and mast across kite foiling, wing foiling, and foil surfing setups. Delta, a brand known for thin-profile prepreg carbon wings and an emphasis on hydrodynamic efficiency, builds these fuselages with a tapered carbon layup intended to reduce drag while maintaining the stiffness needed to handle torque loads from high-aspect-ratio front wings.

All M-Frame components are fully interchangeable, meaning either fuselage length pairs with any Delta M-Frame wing and stabilizer. The system uses a carbon top plate and is compatible with Delta aluminum struts in 24", 28", 32", and 36" lengths, as well as a 32" carbon strut option. Hardware (bolts and fasteners) is sold separately.

Who It's For

The Standard 610 is oriented toward kite foilers and surf foilers who prioritize quick directional changes and responsive pitch behavior. Its shorter length suits riders pairing it with Delta's 1500-class Reflex wings for freeride sessions where tight turns and reaching-angle stability matter more than straight-line tracking. Intermediate to advanced riders who spend most of their time on waves or in powered kite-foil conditions will find the 610 the more maneuverable option.

The Longfuse 770 shifts the balance toward pitch stability and upwind-downwind tracking. Delta specifically recommends this length for wing foiling, where the added stability smooths out foot switches and makes sustained glides more predictable. It also pairs well with high-aspect front wings that generate greater torque loads, thanks to a larger cross-sectional area at the mounting interface. Riders focused on distance sailing, light-wind pumping, or racing-oriented wing foiling will benefit from the 770's longer wheelbase.

In the Lineup

Within Delta's component catalog, the M-Frame fuselages sit alongside the newer R-Frame system, which includes a shorter 367 mm medium fuse designed for a different mounting geometry. The M-Frame remains Delta's primary platform for kite, wing, and surf foiling, and these two fuselage lengths are the only M-Frame options currently offered. The Standard 610 ships with most of Delta's complete M-Frame foil bundles, while the 770 is typically purchased as an add-on or upgrade.

Compared to competitors, the 610 mm length is on the shorter end for a standard fuselage — a deliberate choice by Delta to enhance pitch liveliness during pumping and carving. Riders coming from brands like Axis or Armstrong, where standard fuselages often fall in the 660–700 mm range, should expect noticeably quicker pitch response from the 610. The 770, by contrast, lands closer to the long-fuselage options offered by those same brands, providing a more familiar feel for riders transitioning into the Delta ecosystem.
