Overview
The Delta R-Frame Fuselages are carbon fiber rear fuselage sections designed for use with Delta Hydrofoils' R-Frame mast system. Delta Hydrofoils, founded in 2013 by engineer George Hradil, builds foils with an emphasis on structural rigidity and efficient hydrodynamic design. The R-Frame system integrates the top plate, mast, and front portion of the fuselage into a single carbon fiber unit, eliminating two traditional mechanical joints — mast-to-plate and mast-to-fuselage. The rear fuselage section, sold here, detaches from that integrated front section, allowing the setup to break down compactly for travel while still providing a rigid connection when assembled.
Three rear fuselage lengths are available — the D-319, D-367, and D-456 — each named for its length in millimeters. Choosing between them lets riders tune pitch behavior and handling character without changing masts or wings.

Who It's For
Fuselage length is one of the primary tuning variables in any foil setup, and the three R-Frame options cover a wide spread of riding styles. The shortest option, the D-319, is oriented toward riders who prioritize maneuverability and quick directional changes — useful in kite foiling, freestyle, and surf-style foiling where pitch liveliness and carving response matter most. Delta's fuselage design already runs shorter than many competitors to increase pitch sensitivity, so the D-319 pushes that characteristic further.
The D-456 sits at the opposite end, adding pitch stability and better torque-load handling for larger, high-aspect front wings. That makes it a practical choice for wing foiling, distance runs, and racing, where a stable platform at speed matters more than tight turning. The D-367 splits the difference and works as a general-purpose length for riders who move between disciplines or want moderate pitch response without committing to either extreme.
In the Lineup
The R-Frame fuselages are part of Delta Hydrofoils' high-aspect R-Frame platform, which sits alongside the brand's M-Frame system. While M-Frame components use a more traditional modular assembly, the R-Frame targets riders looking for maximum stiffness through its integrated carbon construction. Delta sells R-Frame components individually — mast, fuselage, front wings, and rear wings — as well as in complete kits under the Progression High Aspect and Performance High Aspect series, which range from 590 cm² to 1740 cm² front wing sizes.
At $279 per fuselage regardless of length, the R-Frame fuselages are a relatively affordable way to experiment with setup tuning on an existing R-Frame build. Riders already on Delta's platform who want to shift their foil's pitch character between sessions can carry two lengths and swap in minutes, since only the rear section detaches.
