Overview

The Delta Stabilizers are rear wing components made by Delta Hydrofoils, a US-based foil manufacturer that has been designing and building hydrofoils since 2013. Available in three sizes — 180, 200, and 280 — these stabilizers use prepreg carbon fiber construction with a high-density foam core. Each stabilizer ships with a protective cover and two M8 x 20mm Torx mounting screws, ready to bolt onto any Delta fuselage. The three sizes share a common mounting interface across Delta's M-Frame and R-Frame systems, giving riders the ability to swap rear wings to tune feel and performance without changing the rest of their setup.

Who It's For

Each size in the Delta Stabilizer range targets a different rider profile and condition set. The 280 is the largest option and is oriented toward riders who want a forgiving, stable feel across a range of front wings in the Delta lineup. Its lower aspect ratio provides consistent pitch stability, making it a practical choice for newer foilers or anyone prioritizing ease of use over outright speed.

The 200, labeled as a race stabilizer by Delta, is aimed at experienced riders looking to reduce drag and increase top-end speed. Its higher aspect ratio and narrower chord make it suited to tighter carving, faster riding, and longer pump runs. The 180 is a flat-profile stabilizer designed primarily for flat-water pumping and prone surf foiling. Delta positions it as a responsive option for advanced riders who also wing or kite in lighter conditions and want a lively rear-wing feel with minimal drag.

In the Lineup

Within Delta Hydrofoils' component ecosystem, these three stabilizers cover the full rear-wing range — from the stability-focused 280 down to the performance-oriented 180. They pair with Delta's front wings (including the Surf Series and High Aspect lines) and mount to both the M-Frame and R-Frame fuselage systems. Delta's modular approach means riders can run any combination of front wing, fuselage length, and stabilizer across their setups.

For buyers comparing across brands, the 280 occupies a similar role to mid-sized stabilizers from brands like Axis and Uni Foil — general-purpose rear wings with moderate aspect ratios. The 200 and 180 compete in the high-aspect, low-area category alongside options such as the Axis Skinny Rear Wings, where the emphasis shifts to reduced drag and sharper handling at speed. All three Delta sizes are priced identically, so moving between them is straightforward as a rider's skill and preferences evolve.
