Overview
The 2025 Duotone Ventis FS Wing is a dedicated light-wind foiling wing built around Duotone's Fusion System interface. It replaces the original Ventis in the lineup, carrying over the same light-wind DNA while adopting the modular Fusion strut that lets riders swap between handles and a boom on a single wing. Duotone offers the Ventis FS in two sizes — 7.0 m² and 8.0 m² — targeting the lower end of the wind spectrum where getting on foil early is the primary challenge. Neither handles nor boom are included; both attach via the Fusion System and are purchased separately.
The wing uses a refined canopy profile with optimized tip twist intended to improve airflow efficiency and reduce tip drag during pumping and riding. An ergonomic oval-tube strut is shaped for comfortable gripping, and the overall construction keeps weight low — 3.7 kg for the 7.0 m² and 4.0 kg for the 8.0 m². The Fusion handles feature a carbon pistol-grip design for controlled half-flagging when the wing is parked.

Who It's For
The Ventis FS targets intermediate to advanced wing foilers who regularly ride in marginal wind. Its deep profile and large projected area are tuned for early lift-off without aggressive pumping, which suits riders who want to extend their session calendar into sub-10-knot days. Heavier riders who need extra power to get on foil will also benefit from the larger 8.0 m² size, which reaches down to an estimated 6 knots.
Because the wing prioritizes low-end grunt and upwind tracking over high-speed maneuverability, it is less suited to riders focused on freestyle tricks or wave riding. It works well as a quiver complement — a light-wind option paired with a smaller, more agile wing like the Duotone Unit for windier sessions. Beginners can use it, though the separate Fusion handle purchase adds cost and complexity to the initial setup.
In the Lineup
Within the 2025 Duotone wing range, the Ventis FS sits as the dedicated light-wind specialist. The Unit covers the all-around freeride and freestyle segment with a wider wind range and more sizes, while the Slick has been phased out of the current lineup. Above the standard Ventis FS, Duotone offers the Ventis FS D/LAB — a premium build using Aluula composite in the leading edge and struts with a lightweight 50 g ripstop canopy, aimed at riders willing to pay more for reduced weight and increased rigidity.
Compared to competing light-wind wings, the Ventis FS occupies a similar niche to options like the Ensis Spin and the F-One Strike CWC in their largest sizes, all designed to maximize projected area while keeping wingspan manageable. The Fusion System's modularity is a distinguishing feature — riders who already own Duotone Fusion handles or a boom from another Duotone FS wing can use them across their quiver without duplicating hardware.
