Overview

The 2026 Duotone Skybrid SLS is a mid-length foil board designed to work across multiple disciplines, including wing foiling, prone foiling, foil assist, and parawing. Duotone positions the Skybrid SLS as a bridge between their dedicated downwind boards and traditional compact wing foil shapes, filling a mid-length slot in the lineup that prioritizes early lift-off and glide efficiency. The 2026 edition carries forward the Skybrid platform with a refined outline, updated tail geometry, and construction tweaks aimed at improving take-off performance and transition clearance.

The board uses a longer, narrower profile compared to conventional wing boards of similar volume. A single-concave-to-flat bottom shape channels water for efficient planing, while a recessed deck lowers the rider's stance closer to the foil connection point. Duotone uses tail cut-outs designed to release water early during the take-off phase, and beveled rails that reduce the chance of catching during turns and touchdowns.

Who It's For

The Skybrid SLS targets intermediate to advanced riders who want one board that covers wing foiling as a primary discipline while leaving room for prone foiling sessions and downwind foil-assist runs. The longer outline and efficient bottom shape make it particularly suited to lighter wind conditions and smaller, more efficient foil setups — riders who want to maximize time on foil when the wind is marginal will benefit from the added glide the mid-length shape provides.

Duotone's recommended rider weights range from under 55 kg on the 45 L up to under 140 kg on the 130 L, so the eight-size spread covers a wide demographic. The four sizes stocked here — 80 L through 115 L — hit the middle of the range and suit most average-weight adult riders. This is not a freestyle-oriented shape; riders focused on jumps and aerial tricks would be better served by Duotone's Sky Style boards, which are shorter and more maneuverable overhead.

In the Lineup

Within Duotone's 2026 foil board range, the Skybrid SLS sits as the mid-tier construction option in the Skybrid family. Above it is the Skybrid D/LAB, which uses a higher-specification layup at a higher price point. Below the Skybrid line, Duotone's compact wing boards (the Sky Style series) cater to freestyle and wave-oriented riders who prioritize agility over glide. The Skybrid SLS occupies the space for riders who value cruising flow, early take-off, and multi-discipline versatility over trick performance.

Compared to competing mid-length wing foil boards — such as the Starboard Foil X Wing or the F-One Rocket Air — the Skybrid SLS leans into its multi-discipline pitch, explicitly marketing prone and parawing use alongside wing foiling rather than treating those as afterthoughts.
