Overview
The 2026 Duotone Unit Wing is the sixth generation of Duotone's flagship all-round inflatable wing, built for freeride, freestyle, and wave riding. As the standard-construction model in the Unit lineup, it sits below the lighter SLS and D/LAB variants while sharing the same updated airframe and canopy architecture introduced for the 2026 season. Duotone redesigned the canopy profile this year, shifting the deepest section away from the center toward the quarter-span points. This change, combined with a flatter center panel and the removal of the infill panel from prior generations, is intended to deliver more consistent power across sheeting angles and improved upwind efficiency.
The wing is available in nine sizes from 2.0 m² to 6.5 m² and comes in two colorways — Fresh Green and Bright Orange. It uses Duotone's Fusion system, meaning handles and booms are sold separately and attach to a standardized track on the strut, letting riders configure the grip layout to suit their style.

Who It's For
The Unit targets intermediate to advanced wing foilers who want a single wing that covers freeride cruising, wave riding, and freestyle tricks without being overly specialized. Its wide size range means lighter riders or high-wind specialists can run the 2.0–3.5 m² sizes, while heavier riders or light-wind sessions call for the 5.0–6.5 m² end of the lineup. The redesigned canopy profile gives the wing a broad power band with predictable gust handling, which suits riders who spend time in variable coastal conditions rather than exclusively flat-water venues.
Because the Fusion handle system is modular, the Unit also works for riders who switch between handles and a rigid boom depending on the discipline. Freestyle-oriented pilots can set up shorter handle spacing, while wave riders may prefer a boom for fluid hand repositioning during turns.
In the Lineup
Within the 2026 Duotone wing range, the Unit Original is the entry point of the Unit family. The Unit SLS steps up with Penta Dacron and an Aluula Gold center panel for a crisper, lighter feel, while the Unit D/LAB sits at the top with a full Aluula frame that shaves roughly 300–400 g compared to the Original in equivalent sizes. All three share the same updated outline and canopy shaping, so the performance character is consistent — the difference is primarily in weight, response speed, and price.
Outside the Duotone ecosystem, the Unit competes with wings like the Ozone Wasp and the F-One Strike in the all-round freeride category. It distinguishes itself with the modular Fusion grip system and Duotone's emphasis on quarter-span canopy depth, which prioritizes a wide comfort range over raw low-end grunt. Riders choosing between the standard Unit and its SLS sibling are essentially deciding how much weight savings justifies the price jump — the core handling DNA remains the same across the family.
