Overview
The Duotone Back Wing Stabilizer PX is a performance-oriented rear stabilizer designed for hydrofoil setups used in wing foiling, kitefoiling, and surf foiling. Produced by Duotone, one of the established names in foil and kite hardware, the PX is the successor to the brand's earlier P stabilizer line. The defining change from the P to the PX is a revised twist in the wing profile running from the root chord out to the tips. This profile adjustment is aimed at refining pitch control, improving maneuverability during turns, and making pumping more efficient. The PX is available in three sizes — 160, 175, and 195 — each with a slightly reduced surface area compared to the P-series stabilizer it replaces.

Who It's For
The Stabilizer PX is oriented toward intermediate to advanced foilers who ride at higher speeds and want precise pitch response. Duotone positions it for high-speed wing foiling and kitefoiling sessions as well as riding in larger, faster wave conditions. Riders who already use the older P stabilizer and want slightly less front foot pressure and tighter turning response are the natural upgrade audience.
The three size options allow riders to match the stabilizer to their front wing and riding style. The smaller PX160 suits riders pairing with smaller or higher-aspect front wings for speed-focused riding, while the PX195 offers more tail stability for larger front wings or heavier riders. The mid-range PX175 covers a broad middle ground. This is not an entry-level stabilizer — riders still learning the basics of foiling would be better served by Duotone's dedicated entry-level options.
In the Lineup
Duotone's rear wing range includes several stabilizer families, each tuned for a different riding style. The Stabilizer S targets surf-style foiling, the R is built for freerace performance, the H serves high-aspect setups, and the C focuses on control. The PX sits in the "Performance" category, making it the go-to rear wing for riders prioritizing speed and responsiveness. There is also a PX OG variant labeled as an entry-level option within the same profile family.
The PX directly replaces the older P stabilizers, with the PX160 succeeding the P165, the PX175 succeeding the P180, and the PX195 succeeding the P200. The slightly reduced surface areas across all three sizes reflect a deliberate shift toward less drag and lighter tail-end lift. Duotone pairs the PX primarily with the Carve 3.0 front wing series, though it is also compatible with the Glide, Glide 2.0, and Whizz front wings for riders building mixed setups across disciplines.
