Overview

The Duotone Front Wing Glide 2.0 SLS is the second generation of Duotone's freeride-oriented front wing, built in the brand's SLS (Speed Light Strong) construction. Introduced as a 2025 model, it succeeds the original Glide front wing with a redesigned profile that concentrates surface area near the center of the wing while tapering to thin, low-drag tips. This layout increases the lift-to-drag ratio compared to the first-generation Glide, and Duotone notes that riders can typically size down one increment from the original Glide and achieve similar lift. The Glide 2.0 SLS is offered in four sizes — 750, 900, 1100, and 1350 — covering a broad range of rider weights and wind conditions.

Who It's For

The Glide 2.0 SLS targets intermediate-to-advanced foilers who prioritize efficient glide, early take-off, and a wide usable speed range. Its more cambered profile produces generous lift at low speeds while the high aspect ratios (9.9–10.3) keep drag in check as speed builds. This makes it well suited for wing foiling in moderate-to-light wind, downwind runs, and prone foiling where sustained pumping and long glides matter. Duotone positions the largest 1350 size as capable of dock starts for experienced riders, while the smaller 750 offers a tighter, more maneuverable feel for higher-wind or speed-focused sessions.

The thin wingtips roll easily rail to rail, so the wing retains playful handling despite its efficiency focus. Riders stepping up from lower-aspect beginner foils will find the Glide 2.0 SLS a natural progression wing — it rewards clean technique with extended flight time without punishing minor errors, thanks to its relatively low stall speed.

In the Lineup

Within Duotone's current foil catalog, the Glide 2.0 sits between the high-performance D/LAB build of the same wing shape — the Glide 2.0 D/LAB, which uses premium materials for reduced weight — and the more speed-oriented AMP 2.0 SLS line. Where the AMP prioritizes top-end pace and a stiffer ride, the Glide 2.0 is tuned for accessible freeride performance and versatility across disciplines. It also pairs with Duotone's H-series, S-series (wave), and P-series (speed) stabilizers, giving riders room to tune the setup to conditions.

Compared to competing high-aspect freeride wings — such as the Armstrong HA series or the Axis HPS — the Glide 2.0 SLS occupies a similar mid-to-high aspect ratio bracket but leans toward user-friendly lift over raw speed. Its size-down recommendation relative to the first-generation Glide means existing Duotone foilers can move to the updated shape without necessarily buying a larger wing.
