Overview
The 2026 Eleveight WFS V6 Wing is the sixth generation of Eleveight's flagship freeride wing, built around a single-strut, low-aspect-ratio platform with a deep canopy profile. Eleveight has iterated on the WFS design annually since the line's inception, and the V6 introduces updated materials and refined construction over the outgoing V5. The canopy uses Teijin X4 ripstop as its primary fabric, with Teijin X6 ripstop reinforcing the trailing edge and high-load areas for improved durability at a lower weight. A redesigned strut shape increases the connection between the strut and canopy, while new boom connection plates aim to keep the strut aligned under load. The wing ships with an updated carbon CS Wing Bar sized to match each wing size, a wrist leash, and a redesigned storage bag.

Who It's For
Eleveight positions the WFS V6 as an all-conditions freeride wing suitable for beginners through intermediate riders. The low-aspect-ratio shape and deep profile are designed to generate power early in the wind window, making it accessible for newer wing foilers who need predictable, easy-to-manage pull. The V-shape dihedral keeps the wingtips clear of the water during drift and flagging, which benefits riders still developing board skills and water starts.
More experienced intermediate riders can take advantage of the wing across disciplines — freeride cruising, freestyle, and wave riding. Eleveight publishes wind-range and rider-weight guidelines for each size: the 5.0 m² suits 10–22 knots for riders around 75–95 kg, while the 4.0 m² targets 15–28 knots for riders in the 65–85 kg range. The full size spread from 2.0 m² up to 6.5 m² means lighter and heavier riders, as well as those building a multi-wing quiver for varying wind, can find an appropriate fit.
In the Lineup
Within Eleveight's own wing range, the WFS V6 sits as the core freeride option below the WFS Pro V2. The Pro V2 uses Aluula composite for its leading edge and strut, cutting weight significantly — the 4.5 m² Pro V2 weighs just 1.84 kg — and is aimed at performance-focused riders willing to pay a premium. The WFS V6, with its Teijin ripstop construction, offers a more budget-friendly entry point while covering a much broader size range (nine sizes versus three for the Pro V2).
Compared to the previous WFS V5, the V6 adds the X6 ripstop reinforcement and the revised strut-to-canopy geometry. Riders coming from competing single-strut freeride wings — such as the Duotone Unit or the Ozone Flux — will find the WFS V6 in a similar price band and skill-level bracket, differentiated mainly by its carbon boom bar system rather than the soft-handle setup most competitors use.
