Overview

The Eleveight Evolve V2 Wing Foilboard is a dedicated wing foiling board from South Korean-founded brand Eleveight, built around a compact outline tuned for responsive riding. As the second generation of the Evolve platform, the V2 carries a shorter, wider shape than many wing boards, with a pulled-in nose and the bulk of its volume concentrated through the center of the board rather than pushed forward. This design choice favors quicker transitions onto the foil over passive glide stability, giving the board a character that leans toward active, engaged riding.

The construction pairs a light EPS foam core with a 3K carbon sheet on both the top and bottom decks, supplemented by two layers of 4 oz fiberglass. The result is a stiff, lightweight layup that transmits rider input directly to the foil. A full EVA deck pad with an integrated tail kicker comes standard, and beveled rails reduce the wetted surface area during waterstart and touchdowns.

Who It's For

The Evolve V2 suits intermediate to advanced wing foilers who prioritize responsiveness and quick foil engagement over maximum platform stability. Its volume distribution and compact outline reward riders who are comfortable with active foot placement during transitions and who want direct feedback from the foil through the board. The 90 L and 125 L sizes offer enough float for waterstarting in lighter winds, while the 56 L and 72 L sizes target experienced riders comfortable pumping up in moderate conditions.

The pronounced double concave in the forward section contributes to soft touchdowns and early planing, making the board practical for riders venturing into small wave bump-and-ride sessions. Riders who want a calm, forgiving platform for learning should look at higher-volume, flatter-decked alternatives; the Evolve V2 is shaped for those already past the early learning curve who want a board that keeps up as their skills develop.

In the Lineup

The Evolve V2 is the second generation of Eleveight's wing-specific foilboard and has since been succeeded by the Evolve V3. As a previous-generation model, the V2 is now available at reduced pricing, making it an accessible entry point into Eleveight's carbon-construction lineup. Within the broader Eleveight board range, the brand also offers the Evolve DW — a longer, narrower 7-foot downwind-oriented foilboard — for riders focused on open-ocean runs rather than freeride wing sessions.

Among competing wing foilboards in a similar price bracket, the Evolve V2 sits in the performance-oriented mid-range. Its carbon-over-EPS construction and sub-7 kg weights across all sizes position it against boards like the Fanatic Sky Wing and the F-One Rocket Wing, though each takes a slightly different approach to outline and volume placement. The Evolve V2's distinguishing trait is its center-loaded volume and surfier template, which gives it a more maneuverable character than wider-nosed competitors at the cost of some static stability.
