Overview
The 2025 F-One Plume K-Wing is the inaugural product in F-One's new K-Wing category — a discipline that sits between traditional wingsurfing and kite foiling. Rather than a rigid handheld wing, the Plume is a small, strutless inflatable with a C-shape profile and a compact leading edge, flown on short lines (roughly 1.3–1.5 meters) via a 41 cm vertical bar. The result is a device that weighs about half as much as a comparable inflatable wing while providing an unobstructed field of view and the ability to flag out behind the rider for hands-free gliding on swell. F-One offers the Plume in five sizes — 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.2, and 5.0 square meters — across multiple colorways including Flame/Onyx, Mint/Onyx, and Black/Red.
F-One developed several construction elements specifically for this product. The canopy uses HITEX, a high-tenacity polyester available in 158 g and 178 g weights, paired with what F-One calls a NANO micro-ripstop canopy material. The airframe relies on a patented Delta C-Shape geometry with warp tension lines, load-control paneling, and staggered seams to hold its shape under load. Each size ships with the vertical bar, a rolltop bag, a wrist leash, and a user guide.

Who It's For
The Plume targets riders who want the minimal drag and hands-free gliding feel of a parawing but with the stability and relaunch reliability of an inflatable structure. It suits foilers who gravitate toward downwind runs, swell riding, and bump-to-bump cruising — situations where flagging the wing out and riding unencumbered is the priority. Riders with kite foiling backgrounds will find the bar-and-lines control intuitive, while experienced wing foilers gain an alternative tool for higher-wind sessions with less physical effort.
F-One's published wind ranges (based on a 75 kg rider) show the Plume is oriented toward moderate-to-strong conditions. Low-end power is limited compared to a traditional inflatable wing of the same area, so sizing up is advisable. The 5.0 m² covers 15–30 knots, while the smaller sizes extend well above 30 knots, giving committed riders a broad top-end reach without needing to swap gear frequently.
In the Lineup
The Plume sits apart from F-One's established inflatable wing line (the Strike series) and occupies a brand-new slot in the catalog. It is not a replacement for a conventional wing but an additional tool — closer in concept to parawing products from brands like Ensis or Ocean Rodeo, yet distinguished by its inflatable leading edge and the stability that brings. Within F-One's own range, riders who already use a Strike for lighter winds or wave riding may pair a Plume for higher-wind freefly and downwind sessions where low weight and minimal drag matter most. As the first and currently only model in F-One's K-Wing lineup, the Plume establishes the category for the brand with no entry-level or performance tiers above or below it yet.
