Overview
The 2025 F-One Rocket Midlength is a wing foil board built around one goal: getting on foil in the lightest winds possible. Part of F-One's broader Rocket board family, this generation trades thickness for added length compared to earlier Midlength models, redistributing volume toward the nose for improved stability and glide during takeoff. The result is a long, narrow shape that planes up quickly and transitions onto foil with minimal pumping effort. F-One offers the Rocket Midlength in seven sizes ranging from 5'10 at 72 liters up to 6'10 at 150 liters, with the three largest sizes — 6'6, 6'8, and 6'10 — carried here.
Construction uses F-One's Bamboo Deck layup, which places bamboo laminate exclusively on the deck side of the board to keep weight low while maintaining durability underfoot. A step feature near the tail channels water cleanly during takeoff and pump-up, and the central step has been removed to make the board compatible with aftermarket Foil Drive units. The rounded bottom contour at the nose promotes early planing, while parallel rails and a slim outline help the board carry speed once up on foil.

Who It's For
The Rocket Midlength suits intermediate and advancing wing foilers who want a dedicated light-wind board to extend their season. Riders who find themselves grounded on marginal days — roughly 8 to 14 knots — will get the most out of the extra length and volume distribution. The three larger sizes stocked here (115 L, 130 L, and 150 L) are particularly well suited to heavier riders above 85 kg looking for generous float, and to newer foilers who benefit from added stability during water starts and early pumping.
This is a specialist board rather than an all-conditions quiver-killer. It excels at low-end takeoff efficiency and pairs well with large-aspect foil wings and high-lift front wings, but riders who primarily sail in moderate to strong wind will find a shorter, more maneuverable board a better daily driver. Inland lake riders where conditions rarely blow above 15 knots may find it versatile enough to serve as a primary board.
In the Lineup
Within F-One's 2025 Rocket family, the Midlength sits alongside the Rocket Wing Crossover and the Rocket Surf Prone. The Crossover is the versatile option — wider, more forgiving, and tuned for riders who want one board across wing, prone, and SUP foiling. The Surf Prone is narrower and performance-oriented, built for wave riding on foil. The Midlength occupies the light-wind specialist slot: longer and thinner than the Crossover, with volume pushed forward for glide rather than maneuverability.
Riders shopping for a comparable light-wind midlength from other brands will find the Starboard Foil X Wing and the Armstrong Mid Length occupying similar territory — long, narrow boards designed to get on foil early in marginal conditions. The F-One distinguishes itself with Foil Drive compatibility out of the box and its bamboo deck construction keeping weight competitive across the size range.
