Overview

The F-One Aluminum Masts V3 are extruded aluminum foil masts designed to work across F-One's full foil lineup. Built from 6063 aluminum alloy, these masts offer a durable and affordable entry into F-One's modular foil system. The V3 designation reflects F-One's third-generation mast profile, shaped by the brand's extensive background in kite foiling. Each mast features stainless steel helicoil inserts at both the top and bottom, allowing riders to swap lengths and connection hardware without replacing the entire setup. An anodized finish paired with stainless steel inserts fitted with insulating gel helps guard against saltwater corrosion.

F-One positions the Alu Mast V3 as a multi-discipline component suitable for kite foiling, wing foiling, surf foiling, SUP foiling, and windfoiling. The mast is compatible with multiple board-connection options in the F-One ecosystem, including Plate, KF, Deep KF, and Tuttle adapters, each sold separately.

Who It's For

The Alu Mast V3 suits a wide skill range, from beginners building their first foil setup to intermediate riders who want an affordable mast they can resize as they progress. Shorter lengths like 45 cm and 55 cm keep the foil closer to the surface, making them practical for newer riders or for surf foiling where a lower ride height is preferred. Mid-range options around 65–75 cm work well for wing foiling and general freeride use, while the 85 cm and 95 cm lengths provide the extra clearance needed for kite foiling and windfoiling in choppier water.

Because the mast uses F-One's modular connection system, riders can start short and move to a longer mast as their confidence grows without replacing their fuselage, wings, or board adapter. This modularity also makes the aluminum mast a sensible backup or travel mast for riders whose primary setup uses carbon.

In the Lineup

Within F-One's foil component range, the Alu Mast V3 sits as the entry-level mast option. Riders looking for reduced weight and a thinner hydrodynamic profile can step up to F-One's Carbon Mast 16 or the high-modulus HM Carbon Mast 14, both of which use full monobloc construction and are aimed at performance-focused foilers. The aluminum mast shares the same top and bottom connection standard, so upgrading from aluminum to carbon is straightforward.

Compared to aluminum foil masts from other brands — such as the Duotone Spirit Aluminum Mast or the Naish Aluminum Mast — the F-One Alu Mast V3 stands out for the breadth of its available lengths, spanning from 45 cm to 95 cm in a single product line. Its price point is competitive within the aluminum mast category, making it a practical choice for riders invested in the F-One foil ecosystem who want flexibility without the cost of carbon.
