F-One Frigate Parawing

The F-One Frigate Parawing is F-One's first entry into the parawing category, introduced in 2025 as a single-skin pocket wing built for wing foiling and downwind foiling. F-One applied paragliding engineering to the Frigate's design, centering it around a pulley-free Dynamic Bridle System that automatically adjusts canopy tension as the rider sheets in and out. The canopy uses Porcher paragliding-grade fabric with a waterproof coating, paired with LIROS color-coded bridle lines. Mini-ribs and diagonal D-ribs—borrowed from paragliding canopy construction—define the airfoil profile while reducing the total number of bridle attachment points.

The Frigate originally launched in five sizes from 2.5 m² to 4.7 m² and has since expanded to eight sizes spanning 1.9 m² through 6.5 m², covering wind conditions from roughly 10 knots up to 34-plus knots for a 75 kg rider. Each size ships with a lightweight carbon bar (29 cm for the 1.9–4.0 m² range, 41 cm for 4.7–6.5 m²), a pre-attached mono-harness line, and a carry bag.

Riders focused on downwind foiling, bump-and-run sessions, and upwind lap work will find the Frigate particularly well-suited. Its upwind capability is notably strong for a parawing, approaching the angle that traditional inflatable wings achieve. The included harness line supports longer sessions where holding bar tension by hand alone would fatigue a rider. The Frigate is F-One's sole parawing offering—distinct from their inflatable wing line, which includes the Strike and the Strike CWC. Where those wings use inflatable leading edges and struts, the Frigate trades rigid structure for minimal pack size and weight, filling a different role in the quiver rather than replacing an inflatable.
