Overview
The F-One Jam HM Carbon Foil Plane is a high-aspect-ratio hydrofoil package built for pumping, dock starting, and light-wind glide efficiency. Produced by F-One, a French watersports brand with a deep foil lineup, the Jam represents the brand's current-generation dedicated pump-and-glide platform, succeeding the earlier Jam V1. Sold as a complete plane — front wing, fuselage, and rear stabilizer — it uses F-One's monobloc construction, where the front wing and fuselage are molded as a single piece from pre-preg High Modulus (HM) carbon fiber. F-One states that HM carbon is roughly 1.5 times stiffer than standard carbon, which translates to less flex under load and more direct energy transfer during pump strokes.
The plane ships with F-One's Pumping XXS 200 monobloc tail stabilizer and connects to F-One masts via the TITAN 2 junction, a two-bolt M8 interface designed for rigidity at the mast-fuselage connection point. An EVA soft cover is included for transport protection.

Who It's For
The Jam targets riders focused on pump foiling and dock starting, with secondary crossover into SUP downwind and light-wind wing foiling. Its aspect ratios near 10 across all three sizes prioritize glide length and low-speed lift over tight turning ability — F-One rates it at 100% for pumping and low-end performance but only 30% for maneuverability. That profile suits riders who value distance per pump stroke over carving agility.
Size selection maps to rider weight and experience. The 1900 cm² version offers the most lift and is suited to heavier riders or those new to dock starting who benefit from extra surface area in flat-water pumping. The 1600 cm² fits intermediate-level wing foilers and SUP foilers looking for performance in marginal wind. The 1400 cm², with its smaller span and lower weight, is oriented toward experienced dock-start and pump riders, light-wind wing foiling, and micro-swell surf foiling where a compact, efficient wing is an advantage.
In the Lineup
Within F-One's foil catalog, the Jam sits as the dedicated pump-and-glide specialist alongside more versatile options like the Eagle and Phantom lines, which trade some raw glide efficiency for broader maneuverability. The current Jam replaces the Jam V1, retaining the high-aspect philosophy while adopting the updated TITAN 2 connection and refined monobloc construction shared across F-One's latest foils.
In the broader market, the Jam competes with other high-aspect pump foils such as the Armstrong HA series and the Axis PNG. All three brands target the same dock-start and downwind segment with aspect ratios in the 9–11 range, though each differs in profile shape, construction method, and connection system. Riders already invested in F-One's mast and fuselage ecosystem will find the Jam a straightforward addition, while those cross-shopping should weigh mast compatibility and total system weight alongside front-wing specs.
