Overview

The F-One Rocket ASC Foilboard is a wing foiling board built around F-One's Air Shield Composite construction, designed to handle the bumps and scrapes that come with learning and progressing on foil. It shares the same outline and hull shape as F-One's standard Rocket Wing board but swaps in a tougher layup — a lightweight injected EPS core laminated with high-strength glass fiber and epoxy resin, finished with a protective topsheet shield. This single-shot molding process produces a board that prioritizes durability over minimum weight, making it a practical choice for riders who spend time on the water rather than babying their gear.

The hull features a straight rocker line paired with a double concave bottom and sharp beveled rails. That combination is tuned for predictable water starts and forgiving touchdowns — two things that matter most when a rider is still building foil time. A recessed carry handle on the bottom, full deck pad, and rail savers come standard.

Who It's For

The Rocket ASC targets riders who are entering wing foiling for the first time or working through the intermediate stage of progression. The wide size spread — from a compact 60-liter board up to a generous 130-liter platform — means there is an option for most body weights and skill levels. Heavier or less experienced riders can start on the larger volumes for easier water starts and more stability when the wind drops, while lighter or more confident riders can size down for a more maneuverable ride.

Because the ASC layup adds durability at the cost of a little extra weight compared to F-One's premium Rocket Wing, it suits riders who are still regularly touching down, riding out crashes, and generally putting their board through hard use. It is an all-conditions board rather than a specialist for light wind or high performance.

In the Lineup

Within F-One's foilboard range, the Rocket ASC sits as the value-oriented, durability-first option beneath the lighter Rocket Wing, which uses a higher-end construction to save weight. Both boards share the same shape and hull design, so performance characteristics are closely matched — the choice between them comes down to weight sensitivity versus impact resistance. F-One also offers the Rocket Wing in a carbon-reinforced layup for riders chasing minimum swing weight.

The five-size spread of the Rocket ASC covers a wider volume range than many competing entry-level foilboards. Riders cross-shopping in this price bracket may also look at boards like the Slingshot Wizard or Naish Hover, both of which target a similar beginner-to-intermediate progression window with durable composite constructions.
