Overview

The F-One Rocket Wing V3 Board is a dedicated wing foil board from French brand F-One, built around their Full Bamboo construction. As the third generation of F-One's flagship wing foiling platform, the V3 introduced a reshaped concave deck for improved foot contact, a slightly straighter progressive rocker line aimed at better in-flight stability, and a sharp beveled rail profile paired with a double-concave hull. The board spans eight sizes from 40 L to 140 L, making it one of the wider size ranges in the wing foil category. Each board ships with a full deck pad, inserts for three footstraps, and F-One's Twin-Tracks mounting system — a dual-rail setup with 90 mm lateral spacing that accepts any foil using a four-bolt top plate.

F-One's Full Bamboo layup sandwiches bamboo veneers between fiberglass layers to balance durability and weight. The result is a rigid, ding-resistant shell that keeps swing weight manageable across even the larger sizes. Boards from the 5'0 upward include a bottom carry handle for easier transport to and from the water.

Who It's For

The Rocket Wing V3's size spread covers nearly every rider profile. The 4'4 (40 L) and 4'8 (50 L) target advanced wing foilers and lighter riders seeking a compact, responsive platform for stronger wind sessions and freestyle maneuvers. The mid-range 5'0, 5'3, and 5'5 boards suit intermediate riders or wing foil beginners who already have some foiling experience in another discipline — these sizes offer a balance of stability, carving ability, and pumpability in moderate conditions. The three largest boards — 5'10, 6'0, and 6'4 — provide the float and stability needed by true beginners, heavier riders, or anyone prioritizing light-wind performance and easy water starts.

As a general guideline, riders choosing a board volume close to their body weight in kilograms will find a stable learning platform, while experienced foilers typically size down 20–40 percent below body weight for a more maneuverable ride.

In the Lineup

Within F-One's foilboard range, the Rocket Wing V3 sits as the core wing-specific board in Full Bamboo construction. It was succeeded in later seasons by updated shapes including the Rocket Wing ASC — a heavier-duty variant built with F-One's ASC (Advanced Structural Composite) layup for added impact resistance, offered in a narrower size range starting at 5'3. For riders wanting a lighter, stiffer option, F-One also offers the Rocket Wing Carbon higher up the price ladder.

Compared to competitors in the same price bracket, the Rocket Wing V3 lines up against boards like the Fanatic Sky Wing and the Starboard FoilX. Its eight-size range gives it broader coverage than most competitors, particularly at the small end where the 40 L and 50 L options cater to riders who have outgrown larger boards.
