Overview

The F-One Strike CWC V4 ALUULA Wing is a triple-strut inflatable wing built around F-One's patented Compact Wing Concept (CWC) design. Released as part of the 2024 F-One wing lineup, the V4 iteration uses ALUULA composite material selectively on its three struts rather than across the entire frame, keeping weight low while managing cost compared to a full-ALUULA build. The CWC architecture packs more canopy area into a shorter wingspan than a conventional two-strut wing of the same size, giving the Strike CWC its distinctive compact outline and light-wind power delivery.

The canopy uses F-One's TECHNOFORCE/D2 52g fabric, with HITEX 158g and 178g high-tenacity polyester on the leading edge and TECHNOFORCE/D2 66g reinforcing the trailing edge. A dual-valve inflation system covers the central strut and leading edge separately. The V4 also introduced F-One's interchangeable handle system, shipping with soft handles pre-installed but accepting hybrid or rigid handle options.

Who It's For

The Strike CWC V4 ALUULA is aimed squarely at wing foilers who spend most of their sessions in light wind. Its compact shape generates forward pull at low wind speeds, and the ALUULA struts keep the overall weight down enough that sustained pumping and water starts remain manageable even in the larger 8.0 and 9.0 m² sizes. Riders in the 6–15 knot range who want a wing that feels smaller and more agile than its area suggests will find the CWC concept particularly useful.

Skill-wise, this wing suits intermediate to advanced foilers. Beginners can certainly fly it, but the triple-strut layout and light-wind focus assume the rider already has basic foil control and can pump onto foil. Heavier riders who need extra canopy area without an unwieldy wingspan are a natural fit, as are anyone prioritizing low-end power and glide over high-wind top speed.

In the Lineup

Within F-One's wing range, the Strike CWC sits alongside the standard Strike V4, which uses a conventional two-strut layout. The standard Strike covers a broader wind range and leans toward powered, high-speed riding, while the CWC variant is the dedicated light-wind option with its additional struts and wider canopy. F-One also offers the Swing line for wave-oriented riding, making the Strike CWC the specialist choice when conditions are mellow.

The V4 is the 2024 generation of the CWC design; F-One has since released the Strike CWC V5 for 2025. In the broader market, the Strike CWC V4 competes with other large-format light-wind wings such as the Duotone Unit and the Ensis Spin, though its triple-strut CWC patent gives it a distinctive approach to maximizing area within a short wingspan.
