Overview
The F-One Strike V4 Wing is the fourth generation of F-One's performance-oriented inflatable wing, released as part of the brand's 2024 lineup. Designed around a completely straight central strut, the Strike V4 prioritizes aerodynamic efficiency with reduced drag and controlled deformation under load. The canopy uses radial panel cuts on the wingtips and strut back to manage tension precisely, while a dihedral angle at the wingtips improves stability and keeps tips clear of the water during pumping and riding. F-One offers the Strike V4 in eight sizes ranging from 2.0 m² to 5.5 m², covering wind conditions from approximately 12 to 38 knots depending on size selected.
The wing ships with a new interchangeable handle system that lets riders swap between soft, hybrid, or rigid handles to match their grip preference and discipline. Construction pairs HITEX high-tenacity polyester (178 g and 158 g weights) on the inflatable frame with TECHNOFORCE canopy fabric in 52 g and 66 g variants, chosen for resistance to elongation. Kevlar reinforcements protect the wingtips from abrasion, and a Load Diffuser built from overlapping Mylar and Dacron panels maintains profile shape over time.

Who It's For
The Strike V4 is aimed at intermediate to advanced riders who prioritize speed, drive, and powered performance. F-One's own performance matrix rates it highest for freestyle and speed disciplines, with strong marks for freefly and surf use. Compared to F-One's more accessible Swing V4, the Strike holds composure at higher wind speeds without becoming overly physical, making it a natural choice for riders who want to stay on a single size across a broader wind window rather than constantly sizing down.
Its pumping response is immediate and intuitive enough for progressing riders, but the wing truly shines for those chasing pop, hangtime, and upwind angle. Heavier riders in particular benefit from the V4's improved balance — earlier Strike versions drew criticism for being back-hand heavy, a trait F-One addressed with the revised strut geometry and panel layout. Riders focused on wave riding or pure low-end grunt in marginal winds may find the Swing V4 a better match.
In the Lineup
Within F-One's current wing range, the Strike sits as the performance flagship alongside the Swing V4 (the brand's freeride and wave-oriented option). The Strike V4 replaces the Strike V3 CWC, gaining a stiffer frame, the straight-strut architecture, and the modular handle system. A premium tier exists in the Strike CWC V4, which substitutes Aluula composite for the inflatable structure to save weight at a higher price point.
For riders cross-shopping between brands, the Strike V4 competes in the high-performance wing segment alongside options like the Duotone Slick and the Ensis Score. Its blend of freestyle capability and high-wind stability positions it between pure freestyle wings and all-round freeride designs, appealing to riders who want one wing that performs from moderate breezes up through strong, gusty conditions.
