Overview

The F-One Strike V5 CWC ALUULA is F-One's dedicated light-wind wing, built around the brand's patented Compact Wing Concept (CWC) and available in sizes from 6m to 9m. Released as part of the 2025 Strike V5 generation, the CWC variant uses a triple-strut design that packs more projected area into a shorter wingspan than a conventional single-strut layout. This makes larger wing sizes more manageable to handle on the water and on land. ALUULA composite replaces standard dacron on all three struts, trimming weight and reducing drag compared to the dacron-strut CWC models of earlier generations.

The leading edge is constructed with HITEX fabric in 158 g and 178 g weights for abrasion resistance and minimal stretch under pressure. The canopy uses TECHNOFORCE D2 at 66 g on the trailing edge and 52 g elsewhere. A Sweep Control Panel integrated into the trailing edge manages tension across the wind range, helping the wing hold its shape during gusts without sacrificing the lateral flex needed for efficient pumping.

Who It's For

The Strike V5 CWC ALUULA targets intermediate to advanced wing foilers who regularly ride in light or marginal wind. Its wind ranges — starting as low as 6 knots for the 8 m and 9 m sizes — position it squarely as a session-saver for days when smaller wings cannot generate enough power. The triple-strut frame and compact wingspan keep the wing stable and the tips clear of the water, which matters most on the larger sizes where unwieldy handling is a common complaint.

Riders who prioritize efficient pumping onto foil and sustained glide in underpowered conditions will benefit most from the CWC layout. The ALUULA struts lower swing weight during transitions and rotations, making the wing noticeably more responsive than a heavier dacron-strut alternative at these sizes. Freestyle-oriented riders looking for pop and hangtime in light wind will also find the reduced inertia helpful.

In the Lineup

Within F-One's 2025 wing range, the Strike V5 CWC ALUULA sits alongside the standard Strike V5 ALUULA, which covers sizes 2.5 m through 5.5 m. Where the standard Strike uses a single-strut frame suited to moderate and higher winds, the CWC picks up from 6 m onward with its triple-strut compact shape for the light-wind end of the spectrum. Below both sits the Strike V5 in dacron construction, offering the same profiles at a lower price point for riders less concerned with weight savings.

The CWC concept debuted in earlier Strike generations — the V4 CWC ALUULA was the direct predecessor — and the V5 update brought the revised Sweep Control Panel and updated canopy fabrics. Among competing brands, the Duotone Unit and the Ensis Score occupy a similar large-size, light-wind niche, though neither uses a triple-strut architecture.
