Overview
The F-One Strike V5 CWC ALUULA is a triple-strut light-wind wing built around F-One's patent-pending Compact Wing Concept (CWC) design. Released as part of the 2025 Strike V5 generation, it pairs the CWC's large-surface, short-span geometry with ALUULA composite materials on all three struts to reduce overall weight and aerodynamic drag. The CWC layout uses a straight central strut flanked by two outer struts arranged at a dihedral angle, which keeps the wingtips elevated off the water and maintains canopy tension across a broad wind range. A Sweep Control Panel manages trailing-edge tension to improve upwind drive and high-end stability.
Construction combines HITEX high-tenacity polyester (158 g at the wingtips, 178 g at the center) on the leading edge with TECHNOFORCE/D2 ripstop canopy fabric — 66 g on the trailing edge and 52 g elsewhere. The ALUULA Gold composite on the struts contributes stiffness without the weight penalty of conventional Dacron, and plasma coating adds surface durability. An interchangeable handle system lets riders swap between soft handles, hybrid handles, rigid handles, or a carbon boom to suit their preference.

Who It's For
The Strike V5 CWC ALUULA targets intermediate to advanced wing foilers who regularly ride in marginal or light-wind conditions — roughly 6 to 18 knots depending on size. Its triple-strut frame and compact span make it noticeably more manageable than a conventional single-strut wing of equivalent area, so riders who want 7 m² or more of sail area without an unwieldy wingspan will find the format practical. The pumping efficiency and low-end power suit riders focused on maximizing water time when wind is inconsistent.
Because of the ALUULA strut construction, the wing sits at a premium price point and is oriented toward experienced foilers who value weight savings and canopy stiffness over budget. Riders transitioning from kiteboarding or those comfortable with handle-to-boom swaps will appreciate the interchangeable grip system. It is not a beginner wing — the triple-strut CWC shape and stiff response assume a rider who already has foil-assisted water starts and upwind riding dialed in.
In the Lineup
Within F-One's 2025 wing range, the Strike V5 CWC ALUULA occupies the top tier of the light-wind category. Below it sits the standard Strike CWC V5 (same frame, conventional canopy and strut materials, lower price), and above it in the overall Strike family is the Strike V5 ALUULA — a single-strut design covering 2.5 m² to 5.5 m² for higher-wind riding. The CWC line starts where the standard Strike line ends, extending coverage into sub-10-knot conditions with its 6.0 through 9.0 m² sizes.
Compared to the previous-generation Strike CWC V4 ALUULA, the V5 adds the Sweep Control Panel and revised leading-edge connection geometry for improved upwind tracking and canopy stability. Competing light-wind wings in a similar format include the Duotone Slick CWC and the Ocean Rodeo Glide A-Series, though the Strike CWC's triple-strut dihedral layout and ALUULA strut construction distinguish it on weight and rigidity at this scale.
