Overview
The F-One Strike V5 Wing is the fifth generation of F-One's performance-oriented inflatable wing, released for the 2025 season. Building on a lineage that has been refined annually since the original Strike, the V5 introduces a Sweep Control Panel—a trailing-edge tension system designed to improve stability, upwind drive, and sustained speed. The canopy uses a radial cut layout intended to reduce unwanted deformations under load, paired with a revised strut-to-leading-edge connection for added rigidity. F-One constructs the standard Strike V5 with HITEX, a high-tenacity polyester available in 158 g and 178 g weights, finished with a plasma coating for abrasion resistance. A secondary TECHNOFORCE polyester with a ripstop structure reinforces high-stress zones.
The Strike V5 ships with a carrying bag, wrist leash, and repair kit but is sold without handles. F-One uses an interchangeable handle system across its wing range, giving riders a choice of soft, hard, or hybrid grip options purchased separately. Two colorways are offered: Onyx and Mint.

Who It's For
The Strike V5 is aimed at intermediate to advanced wing foilers who want a single wing that spans freeride, freestyle, and wave-oriented riding. F-One rates its performance emphasis toward freestyle and upwind ability, and the wing's relatively low weight across the size range supports aerial maneuvers and extended hang time. The radial cut canopy and Sweep Control Panel are designed to keep the profile stable when overpowered, which suits riders who push into the upper end of a size's wind range rather than sizing down early.
Smaller sizes (2.0–3.5 m²) target strong-wind freestyle and speed sessions, while the larger 5.0 and 5.5 m² sizes cover moderate-wind freeride down to roughly 12 knots for a 75 kg rider. The interchangeable handle system lets riders tune the grip feel to their discipline—harder handles for direct freestyle response, softer handles for longer freeride sessions.
In the Lineup
Within F-One's 2025 wing catalog, the Strike V5 sits as the brand's all-round performance wing, positioned between the more accessible Swing and the specialized Strike CWC. The Swing is oriented toward freeride comfort and easier handling, while the Strike CWC uses F-One's Compact Wing Concept patent to optimize large canopy sizes for light-wind pumping and early planing. For riders wanting the Strike V5's shape in a lighter package, F-One also produces a Strike V5 Aluula edition built with composite canopy material for reduced weight and increased stiffness, at a higher price point.
The Strike V5 replaces the 2024 Strike V4, which featured a fully straight central strut redesign. The V5 carries that strut geometry forward while adding the Sweep Control Panel and switching to the newer HITEX fabric. Among competing brands, the Duotone Slick and the Ensis Score occupy a similar performance-oriented niche, targeting experienced riders who prioritize upwind efficiency and freestyle capability across a broad size range.
