Overview

The Fanatic Sky Air Premium Wing Board is an inflatable wing foilboard designed to deliver a functional foiling experience in a travel-friendly package. Produced by Fanatic — a long-established European board brand — the Sky Air Premium serves as the inflatable counterpart to Fanatic's rigid Sky Wing line. Available across five sizes ranging from 5'0" (85 L) up to 6'10" (200 L), the board targets riders who need a compact, packable setup without giving up the ability to foil. The entire kit ships with a wheeled backpack that fits the board, foil, wing, and a dual-action pump, making it a genuine quiver-in-a-bag solution.

Fanatic uses what they call Premium Double Layer construction, which the brand states offers roughly 20–25% less weight and 25–30% greater stiffness compared to their standard Double Layer technology. A solid carbon plate integrated beneath the stance area stiffens the connection between the rider's feet and the foil mount, improving response and control on foil. Additional design details include silicon rail edges along the tail to reduce drag and promote earlier water release, a pronounced nose rocker to keep touchdowns forgiving, a bottom carry handle, and footstrap inserts supporting a three-strap configuration.

Who It's For

The Sky Air Premium is aimed at beginner to intermediate wing foilers who value portability — whether that means flying to a destination, driving a compact car, or simply storing gear in a small apartment. The inflatable format and forgiving touchdowns make the smaller sizes accessible for riders still learning water starts and early foil flight, while the larger 150 L and 200 L options provide enough float for heavier riders or true beginners building wing-handling skills before getting on foil. The 6'10" / 200 L model even ships with side and tail fins so it can be ridden without a foil during initial learning sessions.

Riders already comfortable on foil who want a hard-board feel at all costs will find the inherent flex of any inflatable a compromise. But for foilers who prioritize easy transport and a durable, ding-resistant platform, the Sky Air Premium fills a clear niche — particularly in light-to-moderate wind conditions where its stable volume helps with uphauling and water starts.

In the Lineup

Within Fanatic's own range, the Sky Air Premium sits alongside the rigid Sky Wing boards. The Sky Wing line offers more precise shaping, thinner rails, and the performance ceiling that experienced foilers expect, but it requires traditional board bags and careful handling. The Sky Air Premium trades some of that precision for the ability to deflate, fold, and wheel the entire setup through an airport.

At its current retail price of $499 — well below the original MSRP — the Sky Air Premium competes with other inflatable foilboards such as the Naish Wing Foil Hover Inflatable and the Slingshot WF-T inflatable. Among inflatables, Fanatic's integrated carbon plate and track-mount foil box distinguish it as a performance-oriented option rather than a pure entry-level floatation platform.
