It features an injection-moulded construction with a redesigned shape built specifically around the V2 motor's removable cable system. During installation, the motor cable plugs into the motor first, and the puck is then positioned over the cable connection with its cut-out slot aligned to the cable before being bolted into place.

The puck is a small but essential piece of the Foil Drive assembly. It secures the motor to the rear section of the Universal Motor Pod using the included M4 hardware, creating a clean, hydrodynamic connection point.
