Overview

The F-One Eagle X Complete Foil is a high-aspect-ratio hydrofoil package built for downwind paddling, wing foiling, and prone foiling. Manufactured by F-One, a French brand with a long history in kite and foil design, the Eagle X sits at the performance end of the company's foil lineup. This complete package bundles the Eagle X UHM carbon front wing with an HM carbon stabilizer, a High Modulus carbon mast, and the Titan 2 connection system, giving riders a ready-to-ride setup without sourcing individual components.

The Eagle X uses a monobloc construction method where the front wing and fuselage are molded as a single piece from pre-preg Ultra High Modulus carbon fiber. This one-piece approach reduces joints and improves load transfer, resulting in a stiff, lightweight structure. The front wing's outline concentrates surface area near the center with relatively narrow wingtips, and the revised tip profile on the current generation reduces excess lift at the extremities for more balanced, stable flight.

Who It's For

The Eagle X targets intermediate to advanced foilers who prioritize glide, speed, and efficiency over tight turning performance. Its high aspect ratio of 12 and broad speed range make it particularly well-suited to downwind runs, where consistent forward drive and the ability to connect swells matter more than snappy directional changes. Riders chasing open-ocean glides, long-distance downwinders, or light-wind wing foil sessions where pump efficiency counts will find the Eagle X in its element.

Smaller front wing sizes (500–700 cm²) suit lighter riders or those comfortable at higher speeds with less lift, while the 900 and 1000 cm² options lower the entry speed and provide easier takeoffs for heavier riders or lighter wind conditions. The two stabilizer choices let riders fine-tune rear-wing area to match their preferred balance of stability versus maneuverability.

In the Lineup

Within F-One's foil range, the Eagle X occupies the dedicated glide-and-speed slot alongside the standard Eagle series. While both share a 12:1 aspect ratio, the Eagle X emphasizes sustained glide and forward drive over carving ability. Riders who want sharper turning for wave riding or tighter maneuvers are directed toward F-One's SK8 or Seven Seas front wings instead. The Eagle X does not replace the Eagle line — they coexist, with the Eagle offering a more versatile all-round profile and the Eagle X leaning into pure downwind and freeride efficiency.

At roughly $3,058–$3,218 depending on front wing size, this complete package competes with other premium high-aspect foil setups from brands like Armstrong and Axis. The full-carbon construction and monobloc build keep weight low across all six sizes, and the Titan 2 connection means riders can later swap to a carbon mast or different mast length without changing the rest of the assembly.
