Overview

The Konrad Boarding Foil Drive MAX Click Nut is a set of four toolless mounting hardware units designed to replace standard track-mount screws when attaching a Foil Drive or Manta Take Off motor system to a foil board. Made by Australian-based Konrad Boarding, the Click Nut system uses a two-piece design — a track nut with a barrel that drops into the board's foil track, paired with a screw fitted with a machined wingnut. This allows riders to hand-tighten the entire Foil Drive assembly without carrying a Torx driver or any other tools to the water.

Each Click Nut features a billet-machined titanium screw body paired with a billet-machined alloy wingnut. The titanium construction resists saltwater corrosion, and the wingnut offers a 22-point adjustment, giving riders fine control over tightening increments. A built-in ratchet mechanism helps the wingnut clear oversized or bulbous foil basemounts during installation. The extended M6 female thread on the barrel accommodates the bolt patterns used by Foil Drive and Manta Take Off motor units.

Who It's For

The Foil Drive MAX Click Nut set is aimed at riders who use electric-assist foil systems — specifically the Foil Drive MAX, Foil Drive Slim, or Manta Take Off — and want faster rigging and de-rigging at the beach. Riders who frequently swap batteries between sessions or move their Foil Drive unit between boards will benefit most, since the toolless design cuts setup time compared to standard hex or Torx hardware.

Skill level is largely irrelevant here; this is a functional upgrade for any rider running a compatible electric-assist unit on a track-mount board. That said, riders who travel to remote launch sites or paddle out from beaches where losing a small tool is easy will find the toolless system particularly practical.

In the Lineup

Konrad Boarding offers two Click Nut variants: the standard Click Nut, which uses an M8 thread for mounting a hydrofoil's mast plate to a board, and this Foil Drive version with the M6 thread sized for electric-assist motor units. The two products serve different mounting points on the same board and can be used together for a fully tool-free setup.

Within the broader Foil Drive accessory market, the Konrad Click Nut competes with the standard stainless-steel hardware included in Foil Drive mounting kits. The titanium construction and wingnut mechanism place it at a higher price point, but the trade-off is corrosion resistance, weight savings, and the elimination of tools from the rigging process.
