Overview

The KT Atlas Front Wing is a high-aspect foil wing from KT Surfing, released as part of the 2025 Atlas series. Designed for wing foiling, surf foiling, downwind, SUP, and kite foiling, the Atlas uses a rear-loaded high-camber airfoil profile paired with low sweep geometry. This combination is engineered to deliver early lift and efficient pumping while maintaining a wide operational speed range. Inflected wingtips help reduce ventilation and smooth out breaching during turns. The Atlas is offered in six sizes ranging from 570 cm² to 1340 cm², with the variants sold here covering the 680, 790, 960, and 1130 cm² options.

All Atlas front wings are interchangeable within the broader KT Foiling system, mounting to KT fuselages without proprietary adapters. The construction uses a satin carbon finish, and hardware connections rely on 316 stainless steel Torx fasteners (sold separately).

Who It's For

The Atlas line spans a wide skill range depending on size. The smaller 680 cm² wing suits intermediate-to-advanced riders focused on speed and maneuverability in moderate-to-strong wind. The 790 cm² targets intermediate foilers who want a balance of glide and responsiveness. The larger 960 and 1130 cm² sizes open up to progressing riders, offering lower stall speeds and earlier lift that help in lighter wind or during pump-up transitions.

KT recommends sizing down 10–20% compared to other brands' wings due to the Atlas's high-camber profile and stall resistance. A rider who typically flies a 1000 cm² wing from another brand may find the 790 or 960 Atlas provides equivalent low-end performance with better top-end speed. The wing suits foilers who ride across disciplines—wing, prone surf, and downwind—and want one front wing that handles varied conditions without swapping gear constantly.

In the Lineup

The Atlas sits as KT Surfing's high-aspect performance line, positioned above their earlier medium-aspect offerings. Within the Atlas series itself, the 680 and 790 are the speed-oriented options, while the 1130 and 1340 serve as the accessible, light-wind members of the family. KT also offers the Atlas as a complete foil set bundled with their mast, fuselage, and stabilizer for riders building a full setup from scratch.

In the broader market, the Atlas competes with other high-aspect front wings in the 10+ AR category, such as the Axis ART series and the Armstrong A+ range. Its distinguishing design choice—the rear-loaded camber reducing stall speed without sacrificing top end—positions it as an option for riders who want high-aspect glide without the abrupt low-speed cutoff typical of flatter-profile race wings.
