KT Carbon Mast

The KT Carbon Mast is the standard carbon option in KT Foiling's mast lineup, built from a high-modulus (HM) carbon blend. Available in 70 cm, 77 cm, and 85 cm lengths, it uses a straight, zero-taper profile at 15.5 mm thickness — a cross-section chosen to balance stiffness and low drag across a range of foiling disciplines. The mast features a ventilation-resistant foil section designed to maintain efficiency at speed, at steep angles, and in choppy or turbulent water. All KT masts and components are interchangeable within the KT Foiling system, so the Carbon Mast pairs with any KT fuselage, front wing, and stabilizer.

The included baseplate has a low-profile, streamlined shape and accepts shims from either side for tuning mast-foot position on different boards. A short chord length on the base maximizes fore-and-aft adjustment range. Slotted M8 screw fittings allow quick installation and removal without fully threading bolts. KT hardware (bolts and T-nuts) is sold separately.

The three length options let riders match mast height to their discipline: the 70 cm for prone and surf-style foiling where a short mast keeps the center of gravity low, the 77 cm as a versatile all-around length, and the 85 cm for wing foiling or downwind runs where extra clearance above the water is useful.

Because it works across wave, wing, wake, tow, and downwind setups, the Carbon Mast is a reasonable single-mast investment for riders who switch between disciplines on the same KT foil.

KT Foiling structures its mast range into two tiers. The Carbon Mast sits in the standard tier alongside an aluminum version (available in 65, 70, 77, and 85 cm). The aluminum mast is thicker at 19 mm but costs less, while the Carbon Mast's thinner 15.5 mm section reduces drag — a difference that becomes more pronounced at speed. Above both, KT's Apex Mast uses an ultra-high-modulus carbon construction and is offered in 77, 85, and 95 cm lengths, adding a 95 cm option not available in the standard range.
