Overview
The KT Fuselage is a CNC-machined aluminum fuselage from KT Foiling, available in 56 cm and 63 cm lengths. It serves as the central connecting component in KT's modular hydrofoil system, linking the mast to the front and rear wings. Built from 6061-T6 aeronautical-grade anodized aluminum, the fuselage uses a narrower-than-average profile intended to reduce hydrodynamic drag. Both sizes feature stainless steel thread inserts at all bolt points to resist saltwater corrosion, and optimized material cut-outs at the mast, front wing, and rear wing junctions to keep weight in check without sacrificing stiffness.
KT uses a footprint-style grooved connection system rather than a traditional tuttle box, which is designed to distribute load more evenly across the joint surfaces. The fuselage ships with a formfitting protective cover.

Who It's For
The two lengths address different rider profiles. The 56 cm fuselage is oriented toward intermediate-to-advanced riders who prioritize quick directional changes, tighter turning arcs, and a more connected feel at speed. A shorter fuselage reduces the moment arm between front and rear wings, which translates to faster pitch response — useful in surf-style riding, freestyle maneuvers, and technical wave conditions.
The 63 cm length adds pitch stability and a more forgiving ride character, making it a practical choice for riders still building confidence on foil or for anyone pairing large-area front wings where extra pitch damping is beneficial. It also suits flat-water cruising and light-wind sessions where a settled, predictable glide matters more than snap responsiveness. Both sizes are cross-discipline — they work for wing foiling, kite foiling, prone foiling, SUP foiling, and wake foiling within the KT system.
In the Lineup
KT Foiling's component ecosystem is fully modular: any fuselage pairs with any KT mast (available in carbon and aluminum, 65–85 cm) and any KT wing set, from the beginner-oriented Instinct series up to the high-performance Solus line in ultra-high-modulus carbon. The fuselage is currently offered only in aluminum; KT does not list a carbon fuselage option. This positions the alloy fuselage as the universal connector across the entire range, keeping cost accessible while reserving carbon construction for the wings and masts where weight savings have a larger performance impact.
For riders cross-shopping, aluminum fuselages at a similar price point include options from brands like Axis and Armstrong. The KT's grooved connection interface is proprietary to the KT system, so it is not cross-compatible with other brands' foil components. Buyers already invested in KT wings and masts will find the fuselage a straightforward addition, while new builders should factor in the full system cost when comparing platforms.
