Overview
The KT Super K2 Carbon Foilboard is a mid-length foilboard from KT Foiling, designed as a multi-discipline platform spanning wingfoiling, prone foiling, downwind, SUP foiling, parawinging, and foil-assist riding. It represents a ground-up redesign of the original Ginxu Super K, incorporating a new hull shape, updated construction, and a broader size range. The Super K2 draws on input from KT team riders including Kai Lenny, Kane de Wilde, Elliot Leboe, and Adam Bentz, with a focus on efficient takeoff and stability across varied conditions and riding styles.
The board features a tri-plane displacement bottom that replaces the stepped hull found on the previous Ginxu model. A fuller nose profile with a recessed deck, pulled-in midlength outline, and thin beveled tail work together to reduce swing weight and windage. KT also integrated fiberglass signal windows tuned to 2.4 GHz into the deck, allowing wireless connectivity with Foil Drive assist systems without an external antenna.

Who It's For
The Super K2 Carbon suits intermediate to advanced foilers who want a single board covering multiple disciplines rather than owning separate prone, wing, and downwind shapes. The 12-size range from 30 L to 120 L means lighter riders focused on prone or wing performance can go compact, while heavier riders or those prioritizing SUP foiling and light-wind sessions can move into the larger volumes without sacrificing maneuverability.
KT positions the board as efficient enough per liter that riders can size down on volume, foil area, and wing size while maintaining early takeoff and in-flight stability. This makes it particularly relevant for riders in moderate to light wind who want to maximize time on foil. The Foil Drive approval also makes it a practical choice for riders using electric foil-assist setups, with the flat mounting surface and integrated connectivity windows simplifying installation.
In the Lineup
Within KT's current board range, the Super K2 Carbon sits as the standard-construction option below the Super K2 Pro Carbon, which uses a high-density EPS core and full sandwich carbon layup to achieve roughly 20% less weight. Riders prioritizing durability and value may prefer the Carbon, while those chasing minimal swing weight for pumping and carving will look at the Pro Carbon upgrade.
The Super K2 replaces the earlier Ginxu Super K, expanding from a narrower size selection to the current 12-size lineup and introducing the tri-plane hull and universal track system. For buyers cross-shopping, comparable multi-discipline mid-length foilboards include options from brands like Armstrong and Unifoil, though the KT stands out with its wide size spread and built-in Foil Drive integration at the factory level.
