The package is aimed at riders who want a lightweight, stiff carbon setup without committing to a single front-wing choice. Because the Sonar platform uses North's modular architecture and a 165×90 mm track-mount bolt pattern, owners can swap front wings to suit different disciplines — kite foiling, wing foiling, or prone surf foiling — without changing the mast assembly.

North states the C700 carbon fuselage weighs roughly 50 percent less than the A700 while matching its strength and stiffness, making the CF edition the higher-performance option. Both editions share the same modular front-wing and stabilizer compatibility, so riders can start on the AF package and later upgrade to the carbon mast and fuselage without replacing their wing collection.

North has since expanded the Sonar front-wing lineup to include High Aspect (HA) and Mid Aspect (MA) series wings alongside the original options, all of which mount directly to the C700 fuselage in this package.
