Overview
The Ozone Pocket Rocket V2 is the second generation of Ozone's dedicated parawing — a single-skin, frameless wing designed for wing foiling without the bulk of an inflatable strut. Ozone, a long-established brand in paragliding and kite design, applies that textile engineering background to the parawing category. The V2 arrives with a redesigned airfoil, an updated bridle geometry inspired by Ozone's PowerPack, and a reworked packing system that replaces the V1's Velcro closure with a clip mechanism for faster deployment and stowage on the water.
The canopy uses a 2x2 ripstop weave with a hydrophobic coating, paired with diagonal rib reinforcement for improved sail tension. A split A-line layout allows the wing to collapse into a clean concertina fold, reducing drag when flagged out. The bow-style bar is barrier-free, meaning there is no B-line attachment point interrupting the grip area — riders can slide their hand anywhere along the bar length without obstruction.

Who It's For
The Pocket Rocket V2 is positioned by Ozone as a parawing for all skill levels, but its performance characteristics skew toward intermediate and advanced wing foilers who want efficiency on sustained upwind-downwind runs. The shorter bridle and reduced aspect ratio give it a wider usable wind range than the V1, with stronger low-end power and a later stall point when running downwind. Riders who pump for power generation in marginal conditions will find the progressive bar feel and larger sweet spot forgiving of imprecise input.
Beginners transitioning from inflatable wings to parawings can use the Pocket Rocket V2 as a learning platform — the split A-line depower and clean collapse make water relaunches more straightforward than many competing single-skin designs. However, the wing rewards riders who already have basic foiling skills and understand how to manage a flagged wing while riding.
In the Lineup
Within Ozone's own parawing range, the Pocket Rocket V2 sits alongside the PowerPack. Where the PowerPack prioritizes ultra-compact stowage and downwind-oriented flying, the Pocket Rocket V2 is the faster, more upwind-capable option with a broader wind range. Riders choosing between the two are essentially deciding between maximum packability and maximum performance.
The seven-size spread from 1.9m to 5.7m is notably wide, covering everything from high-wind blasting to light-wind cruising on larger foils. In the broader parawing market, the Pocket Rocket V2 competes with wings like the Ensis Spin and the F-One Strike, both of which target a similar all-round performance niche. Ozone's paragliding heritage gives it a textile and bridle design advantage that differentiates the Pocket Rocket line from competitors built primarily on inflatable wing platforms.
