Overview
The Ozone V2 Connect Wing Foiling Harness is a purpose-built wing foiling harness from Ozone, one of the leading manufacturers in kite and wing equipment. The V2 is a ground-up redesign of the original Connect Wing harness, reworking the construction, materials, and feature set while maintaining the original's emphasis on low weight and comfort. It uses a tougher outer shell paired with an inner neoprene layer that grips the rider's back to stay locked in position during use. Soft internal foam padding lines the interior, and a stretch velcro and neoprene belt system secures the harness without restricting movement.
A central feature of the V2 is its sliding wing hook, which allows the rider's body to rotate freely — particularly useful during toeside transitions, where a fixed hook can pull the harness off-center. The hook can also be slid to either side and tucked flat behind the webbing, which makes lying prone on the board to paddle or remounting after a fall easier. Two dedicated leash and quick-release connection points let riders attach a wing leash line directly to the harness, with an optional quick-release module available separately.

Who It's For
The Connect Wing V2 is aimed at intermediate to advanced wing foilers who want the option to hook in for sustained powered riding. Riders who spend long sessions on the water — whether freeriding in moderate to strong wind, racing, or focusing on upwind performance — benefit most from a harness that offloads arm fatigue. The ability to lean back against the hook and let the harness carry the wing's pull makes a noticeable difference during extended downwind runs or when pushing for speed.
It is also well-suited to cold-weather riding, where thick gloves and cold hands reduce grip endurance. Riders who frequently travel will appreciate the harness's compact profile and light weight, as it packs down small compared to traditional waist harnesses. Because the hook slides and tucks away, the V2 still allows unhooked riding without interference, making it practical for riders who alternate between hooked and unhooked styles within a single session.
In the Lineup
Within Ozone's own wing accessory range, the Connect Wing V2 sits as the full-support harness option. Ozone also offers the Wing Waist Padded Belt V1, a lighter and more minimal alternative built around an EVA foam pad rather than a full shell. The Padded Belt suits riders who only hook in occasionally and prioritize maximum freedom of movement, while the Connect Wing V2 is designed for riders who hook in regularly and want more load distribution and back support.
In the broader market, wing-specific harnesses remain a relatively small category. Traditional kite harnesses can serve double duty, but they tend to be bulkier and heavier. The Connect Wing V2 competes with options like the Dakine Wing Harness and Mystic wing-specific models, differentiating itself with its particularly low weight and the sliding hook mechanism that addresses the unique rotational demands of wing foiling.
