Overview

The Foilite Titanium Torx Wing Multi Tool T30/T40 from PKS is a pocket-sized hydrofoil tool machined entirely from Grade 5 titanium. Distributed by PKS — a rider-owned operation based in Corpus Christi, Texas — it was designed from the ground up to be carried in the water, letting riders make on-the-spot foil hardware adjustments without heading back to shore. The current listing is the V2 revision of the original Foilite wing tool. At just 9.8 grams, the tool is compact enough to slip into a boardshorts pocket or a wetsuit key pocket, and it ships with a Dyneema lanyard so it can be tethered during use.

Key Specs

  • Material: 100% Grade 5 Titanium, precision CNC machined
  • Weight: 9.8 g
  • Bit sizes: Torx T30 and T40
  • Extras: Integrated bottle opener, Dyneema lanyard included

Who It's For

This tool is aimed at wing foilers, kitefoilers, and prone foilers who use Torx T30 or T40 hardware on their hydrofoil assemblies — the two most common Torx sizes found on foil mounting bolts, mast plates, and fuselage connections. Riders who session at remote spots or travel frequently will get the most value from a tool they can keep on their person rather than leaving it in a car or gear bag. Because the Grade 5 titanium resists saltwater corrosion without any coating or plating, the tool holds up over repeated exposure to ocean and brackish water environments where steel alternatives would degrade.

It suits all skill levels equally; anyone assembling or adjusting a hydrofoil needs a Torx driver, and having one that weighs under 10 grams removes any reason not to carry it every session.

In the Lineup

PKS also offers the Foilite Titanium Torx Hammer Multi Tool T30/T40, a heavier-duty variant that adds a small hammer head for tapping stubborn hardware loose — useful when corrosion or sand has seized a bolt. The standard Wing Multi Tool covered here is the lighter, more minimal option for riders who only need a driver. Both sit within PKS's broader Foilite accessory line, which focuses on titanium hardware and tools purpose-built for hydrofoil maintenance.

Among competing products, most foil-specific multi-tools on the market use stainless steel, which is heavier and more susceptible to saltwater pitting over time. The Foilite's titanium construction and sub-10-gram weight distinguish it in a category where few brands have invested in material upgrades beyond standard tool steel.
