Overview
The Slingshot One-Lock Glide Front Wing is the versatile mid-aspect foil wing in Slingshot Sports' modular One-Lock system. Built around a medium-high camber profile, it pairs efficient low-speed lift with controlled behavior at higher speeds, occupying the all-around slot in a lineup that also includes more specialized shapes. The Glide is offered in seven surface-area options ranging from 625 cm² to 1525 cm², giving riders a broad selection to match their weight, discipline, and wind conditions.
Construction uses a blend of high-modulus and mid-modulus carbon fiber. Layers oriented at 0° along the span maximize stiffness, while 45° plies resist torsional twist, and an internal stringer adds further rigidity. Trailing edges and wing tips are hand-finished, and molded fillets at junctions reduce drag while reinforcing structural connections. Each wing ships with the One-Lock latch pre-installed and includes a replacement latch kit.

Who It's For
The Glide targets intermediate foil riders who want to progress into faster carving and tighter turns without losing the safety net of low-speed stability. Its camber profile generates lift at slow speeds—useful during foot switches, transitions, and light-wind pumping—while built-in wing-tip twist bleeds excess lift as velocity increases, keeping front-foot pressure consistent rather than building uncomfortably.
Smaller sizes (625–825 cm²) suit lighter riders or those prioritizing speed and agility in stronger wind, while the larger options (1125–1525 cm²) favor heavier riders, lighter wind, or disciplines like dock-start and wake foiling where early lift matters most. The wing works across wing foiling, wake foiling, and prone/SUP foiling within the One-Lock ecosystem.
In the Lineup
Within the One-Lock platform, the Glide sits between Slingshot's higher-aspect, speed-oriented shapes and their lower-aspect surf-focused wings. It replaced earlier Slingshot front wings that required bolted connections, leveraging the One-Lock system's tool-free swaps so riders can change wings on the water or dock in seconds. Companion wings in the system include the Flow (lower aspect, surf-oriented) and the Flare (higher performance, tighter turning).
For buyers cross-shopping other brands, the Glide's mid-aspect ratio and progressive size range put it in a similar category to the Armstrong CF1600–CF800 series and the Axis BSD line—wings designed to balance glide efficiency with accessible handling rather than committing fully to race or pure-surf geometry.
