The Slingshot One-Lock HM Carbon Mast is a high-modulus carbon foil mast built for the Slingshot One-Lock foil system. Sitting in the middle of Slingshot's three-tier mast lineup — between the standard Carbon Mast and the Pro HM Carbon Mast — the HM Carbon targets riders who want elevated stiffness and reduced weight without stepping up to the race-oriented Pro. It is offered in 72 cm, 82 cm, and 92 cm lengths, covering a range of riding heights suited to wing foiling, kite foiling, wake foiling, and dock-start or pump foiling.

The mast uses a hollow-core construction with high-modulus carbon fiber, a layup approach that concentrates material where it contributes most to longitudinal and torsional rigidity. Its chord profile tapers from 118 mm at the fuselage connection to 145 mm at the board-side base, and the trailing edge is hand-finished to manage water flow and minimize vibration at speed.

The HM Carbon Mast suits intermediate to advanced foilers who have moved past aluminum or entry-level carbon masts and want noticeably stiffer response under their feet. Its rigidity translates to more direct feedback during carving, tacking, and speed runs, making it a practical upgrade for riders comfortable on foil and looking to refine their control. The three length options let riders dial in ride height — shorter masts for wake and boat-tow disciplines where clearance is limited, longer masts for wing and kite foiling where extra height provides breathing room in chop and during transitions.

The One-Lock connection system is designed for fast assembly — the multi-hole top plate and internal seam construction allow the mast to mate with One-Lock fuselages and boards without exposed hardware joints in the water flow. Slingshot states the system enables full foil assembly in under 15 seconds, which is relevant for travelers and session-to-session swappers who change mast length or wing combinations frequently.

Within Slingshot's One-Lock mast range, the HM Carbon sits above the standard One-Lock Carbon Mast (priced around $1,029) and below the One-Lock Pro HM Carbon Mast (starting at $1,729). The standard Carbon Mast offers a lower entry price with less stiffness, while the Pro HM uses a solid-core layup and a narrower chord profile tuned for higher top-end speeds and faster yaw response — features aimed primarily at kite foilers chasing speed. The HM Carbon occupies the middle ground: stiffer and lighter than the base carbon option, but at a more accessible price point than the Pro.

Note that the One-Lock mast system is not cross-compatible with Slingshot's Phantasm or legacy Hover Glide foil platforms. Riders already invested in the One-Lock ecosystem can pair this mast with any One-Lock front wing — Flow, Glide, Ease, or Kite — and stabilizer combination.
