Overview

The Slingshot One-Lock Wing QuickStart Package is Slingshot Sports' entry-level foil package built around the brand's tool-free One-Lock connection system. Aimed squarely at riders new to wing foiling, the package bundles three core components — the Ease 1850 front wing, the Verse 270 stabilizer tail, and an 82 cm aluminum mast — into a single purchase at a lower price point than buying each piece separately. The One-Lock system uses a screw-free mechanical interface that allows full assembly and breakdown in under 30 seconds without tools, eliminating the drag associated with exposed bolt heads found on traditional foil connections.

The package does not include a board; riders supply their own wing foil board or can step up to Slingshot's Craft Package, which adds the Wing Craft V3 board. This foil-only format keeps the entry cost lower and gives riders the flexibility to pair the setup with whatever board they already own or prefer.

  • Stabilizer tail: Verse 270 with -2.25° preset angle, anhedral profile
  • Mast: 82 cm, 6061-grade aluminum, 118 mm chord
  • Mounting: RTS foil board mounting kit included
  • Connection system: One-Lock (tool-free, screw-free)

Who It's For

The Wing QuickStart Package targets beginner and early-intermediate wing foilers who want a stable, forgiving setup at a moderate price. The Ease 1850 front wing uses a forward-positioned maximum thickness and medium camber profile, which lowers the stall speed and provides a wide, predictable power band. Slingshot describes the design philosophy as "Center Focused Lift," keeping the lift generated directly beneath the rider's stance rather than out at the wing tips, which helps maintain balance during foot swaps, tacks, and general learning-phase mistakes.

The Verse 270 tail reinforces that stability-first approach. Its anhedral shape generates an auto-correcting roll response — if the foil banks to one side, the lower wing tip produces more lift, nudging the assembly back to level. A preset tail angle of -2.25° keeps lift consistent at low speeds, which is where newer riders spend most of their time. For rider weight, the 1850 cm² front wing is generally suited to riders in the 160–185 lb range in moderate wind; heavier riders or lighter conditions may benefit from the larger 2250 cm² Ease wing, sold separately.

In the Lineup

Within Slingshot's One-Lock foil ecosystem, the Wing QuickStart Package sits at the entry tier. One step up, the Wing Craft Package pairs the same foil components with the Wing Craft V3 board for a complete ready-to-ride bundle. Slingshot also offers Kite QuickStart and Wake QuickStart packages using the same One-Lock mast and connection system but with discipline-specific wings and tails. The modular nature of One-Lock means riders can upgrade individual pieces — swapping to a Glide-series front wing for more efficiency, a 180 tail for increased maneuverability, or a longer or carbon mast — without replacing the entire setup. Competing entry-level foil packages at a similar price point include offerings from brands like Lift and Armstrong, though most of those use traditional bolt-together assemblies rather than a tool-free locking mechanism.
