Overview

The Waydoo Evo Tail Stabilizer Wing is a rear stabilizer designed for the Waydoo Flyer Evo eFoil system. Waydoo offers two tail wing options in this line — the Glide Tail 320 and the Surf Tail 322 — each built around the same planform but using different materials and tuned for different riding styles. Both tails attach to the Waydoo Evo mast-fuselage assembly and pair with any of the Evo front wing options, letting riders fine-tune their hydrofoil setup without replacing the entire wing package.

The Glide Tail 320 uses a PA6 (nylon) and fiberglass composite, keeping weight low and cost accessible. It is positioned as the standard tail for most Evo riders, prioritizing smooth, predictable glide in flat-water cruising. The Surf Tail 322 steps up to a full carbon fiber layup and incorporates a reduced angle of incidence along with upturned wingtip details intended to improve lateral stability during carving turns — features aimed at riders who spend time in chop or small surf.

Who It's For

The Glide Tail 320 suits the broadest range of Evo riders. Waydoo recommends it as the default stabilizer for general freeride use, and its forgiving, stable behavior makes it a practical choice for beginners through intermediate-level eFoilers who ride primarily in flat or lightly choppy water. Because it is the lighter of the two tails, it also pairs well with the larger Voyager and Glider 1500 front wings where low-speed stability matters most.

The Surf Tail 322 targets intermediate to advanced riders who want a looser, more responsive feel — particularly when riding waves, wake, or performing tighter turns. Its decreased angle of incidence reduces rear-wing lift at speed, giving the foil a nose-down tendency that rewards active rider input. Waydoo pairs this tail with the Master Plus board and the smaller 1100-series front wings for a surf-oriented setup, so riders building a dedicated wave or carving package should consider it alongside those components.

In the Lineup

Within the Waydoo Evo accessory catalog, these are the only two rear stabilizer options currently available. The Glide Tail 320 ships as the included tail in most standard Evo eFoil packages (Pro Plus, Max Plus), while the Surf Tail 322 is sold separately or bundled with performance-tier kits like the Master Plus. Moving from the 320 to the 322 is one of the simplest upgrades a rider can make to shift the Evo's handling from cruise-oriented to surf-oriented without changing the front wing or mast.

In the broader eFoil market, comparable rear stabilizers from Lift and Fliteboard are priced in a similar range, though direct cross-brand compatibility does not exist — these tails are exclusive to the Waydoo Evo fuselage mounting system.
